Hunting squirrels is a long-standing outdoor tradition and fabulous fun. The Choctaw Hunting Lodge's 22,000 acres, owned by the Choctaw Nation in southeastern Oklahoma, is prime squirrel habitat. This will be the first squirrel hunt on the property in many, many years. Hunt to take place during mutually agreed upon dates between buyer and manager of the Choctaw Hunting Lodge. Arrive by noon on day one, hunt that afternoon, hunt all the next day, depart the third day after the morning's hunt and a delicious brunch. Hunters are encouraged to bring their own squirrel dogs. Should someone wish to fish, there are five large conservation lakes abounding with largemouth bass and crappie, plus some huge catfish. Hunt includes guides, transportation while hunting on the property, assistance in skinning squirrels, delicious meals, comfortable rooms with ensuite bathrooms, appropriate snacks and adult libations after guns have been put away for the evening, "kicking back" in the property's luxurious hunting lodge. The hunt will be filmed for an episode of "A Sportsman's Life" which is sponsored by DSC. If his schedule allows, Larry Weishuhn, longtime DSC Ambassador, aka Mr. Whitetail, will be in camp to make certain those on the squirrel hunt have a great time. Not included are transportation to/from the Choctaw Hunting Lodge, Oklahoma hunting and fishing license and gratuities. Nacohl Vickrey, nvickery.ctr@choctawnation.com.
