These eye-catching, handcrafted Tibetan silver pendants were made in the Himalayas of Nepal and showcase true Tibetan craftsmanship and artistry. Tibetan jewelry uses a technique called "repoussé", which is from the French, meaning "pushed up from behind". All four pendants feature this intricate design on the back, with the large one featuring floral and animal repoussé on the front, while the cross and two smaller pendants also feature Mother of Pearl. The repoussé technique involves pushing a silver surface outward from behind to create a three-dimensional effect on the surface of the metal. Then, a technique called "chasing" is used to work the details of the design on the front, back or outside of the piece to create the final pattern. DSC FOUNDATION THANKS CRAIG DIXON FOR THIS 100% DONATION.
